Farrell Background

Providing General Contracting in Northern California since 1978, Michael Farrell has experienced the economic turns and construction cycles that put seasoned longevity into the company's operations.  As a Civil and Geotechnical Engineer in California with a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering from UC Davis, Tom Farrell heads up Farrell's overall operations as President.

In June of 1999, Michael and Tom joined engineering and construction to create a design-build family of services. In July 1999, F&S Construction, Michael's 22 year general contracting company, grew to become Farrell Design-Build Companies, Inc and Tom joined the company as President. In October 1999, Farrell Design-Build acquired the Geopier® license for Northern California. After 5 years of subcontracting the Geopier construction process in California, FARRELL stepped up the heat in 1999 and began delivering the complete design-build system.

“Most of the challenges we face, involve issues related to construction below the ground surface,” says Tom Farrell. "The job is always interesting to say the least, sometimes the soil works with you and sometimes it just takes more horsepower. Delivering innovation, customer service and quality products are at the core of Farrell,” says Tom.
